ASSIGNED

ASSIGNED

There is a relationship aside from the parent-child relationship that dates as far back as history. The student/teacher relationship cannot be underestimated, and this has come of age. It is a symbiotic one that both parties cannot easily detach from. Some aged individuals remember teachers from their kindergarten days simply because of the impact the teachers had on them.

Despite this beautiful relationship, there is a part that some students do not enjoy. ASSIGNMENTS. Yes! Once the teacher is done with the lectures here comes the assignment to prove the student’s level of assimilation in class. Even when the students would rather go a full term without an assignment, the teachers know that the assignment is required to test the student’s level of concentration and it provides a training ground for the student to move to the next class. We enjoy promotions but this can come easily when we can treat assignments and tests thereby getting equipped for the next class.

Every believer is in a school with the Greatest Teacher of all – The Holy Spirit. Yes, He is the teacher just as Jesus rightly called him. The book of John 14:26 says; But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.

Just as in school, no student will assign a task to himself, grade it, and recommend himself for a promotion, the same can be seen in the life of a believer.

We all have our purpose, some school of thought calls it an assignment on the earth and as such, you cannot know your purpose/assignment without being assigned by the Teacher. To avoid running from pillar to post, develop a relationship with our teacher- The Holy Spirit. Only then can you know what you have been assigned to do. Every assignment treated creates room for promotion. Enroll in the School of the Holy Spirit by asking Jesus to come into your heart and your life will begin a progressive journey.

God bless you.
