RECIPROCATION OF THE LOVE CHRIST GAVE

When you say the word – I love you, the impulsive response you get will be I love you too or I love you more. This response gives a form of assurance that what you feel is not one-sided.

Despite the desire for a favorable response, we cannot deny the fact that several “crushes” never get to be loved. It is a dilemma to love someone and not get the expected love in return. This simple truth has led to breakups in relationships and couples growing apart.

Dear Friend, this is exactly how it feels with Christ our Saviour. Recently, I looked at the image of the cross and what comes to my mind’s eye is one with open arms expecting you to run into it. The arms have been open from the day He died till today you read this post expecting you to run into His arms.

Jesus keeps saying I love you and all He wants to hear is your response to His love. The book of Luke 15; 11-32, tells the story of the prodigal son who wasted His father’s wealth and when he realized his wrong, he returned home. Luke 15: 20 says that when the father saw him coming from afar, he had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. This scenario is exactly what Jesus is doing today through this post.

He wants to have compassion, run to you, fall on your neck, and kiss you. Please reciprocate the love He so lavishly wants to pour on you. All He needs is your heart. Jesus said in the book of Revelations 3: 20, He stands at the door and knocks. He can only come in when you open.

Consider responding to His love today by opening the door of your heart, you will be amazed at how colorful your life becomes.

God bless you.
